ALMA TEAS & HERBAL INFUSIONS

Alma was created in late 2010 in Girona, Catalonia, Spain, to offer the market organic infusions and teas in 100 % biodegradable pyramid tea bags. It makes innovative, original flavours using products with a commitment to the values and essence of culture and the earth.
From the selection of raw materials at source, the development of its own formulas, the preparation of the blends, the packaging and marketing, the Alma brand has a very proactive approach to constant work to offer new formats and innovative products on the market.
We would highlight two clearly differentiated formats from the variety of presentations:
Alma Luxury: targeted at the Horeca sector, with individual packaging to ensure the properties of the infusion down to the final tea bag.
Alma Home, aimed at private customers, which comes in boxes with 15 pyramid tea bags.
The Alma family of products is completed with more than 56 flavours, as well as presentations for luxury hotels, little hotels, offices, catering and Premium or Gourmet corners.
This year, exclusively for the international market, we are launching the MEDITERRANIA EXPERIENCE line at BIOFACH 2015.
It consists of three infusions made from Mediterranean herbs.

Sea algae, together with fennel, lemon verbena and basil provide fibre and a satiating effect that will help to purify your body of fats, at the same time as providing energy-giving proteins and antioxidants to prevent ageing. Achieve a balance between your body and your mind. It stimulates your senses, tones and harmonises your body, thanks to rosemary, chamomile and aniseed. It facilitates digestion, is diuretic, takes care of your liver and bladder and boosts your immune system. Ingredients: Rosemary, Aniseed, Elderberry, Rooibos, Chamomile and Cinnamon.
Aire - relaxing -
Take a deep breath and look to your interior, enjoying a moment of meditation. It purifies your mind, body and soul through its relaxing, calming properties. Ingredients: Lemon Balm, Orange Blossom, Chamomile, Thyme, Lemon Verbena and Lavender.
Alma actively develops social responsibility programmes in its environmental care policies. Orientated at recycling, traditional craftsmanship, the inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion and sustainable education in programmes at the University of Girona.
Among them, we would include the social economy project “Bolsos con Alma” meaning “bags with soul”. A collaborative project between the brand and the social economy business alliance, Grup Èxit, in which old coffee sacks are converted into trendy handbags.
Under way for a year and a half now, it has managed to sell more than 700 bags, which has enabled the sewing workshop to offer employment to people with intellectual disability or mental illness and to donate the entire benefits to Cáritas to develop various social projects.
